Last Wednesday evening, cadets and crew members gathered on the Helo Deck. They sat on benches and beach chairs under the stars, the open ocean stretching in every direction around them. Even though the TS Kennedy was miles away from home, everyone was thinking about the Cape Cod Military Support Foundation.
They were eager to raise money for this non-profit foundation that is committed to assisting veterans and members of the Air Force, Air National Guard, Coast Guard Air Station, Army, and Army National Guard and their dependents who are assigned to Joint Base Cape Cod and the USCG Sector Southeastern New England.
COMCAD's Captain Ed Rozak acted as auctioneer. He was both entertaining and persuasive as he worked the crowd; promoting the prizes and encouraging the bidders. Captain Rozak was assisted by the entire COMCAD staff.
The evening was a huge success, raising close to $7,600 for the Cape Cod Military Support Foundation. Here are just some of the generous bidders and the lucky raffle winners.
