Today was like a half day for group B. We all split up in the morning and went to two different locations.
My group went to a neighborhood to paint houses and clean. My duty of the day was to power wash the outside of a house so it can be painted tomorrow. Despite the many spiders webs that attacked me, it was a very satisfying job. In the end, I was very wet and covered in dirt, but I felt very accomplished for the three hours.
In the afternoon we all went to the Kings Of Knight Village for a cookout. Although my group was not there yet, they had a small ceremony for the owners of houses that never got a little celebration. At this little neighborhood, I saw a stone thanking Massachusetts Maritime Academy for all the work they did building the houses in the village. It was an amazing thing to see that that is how much we mean to someone. Before that, I had known we were doing a good deed but never actually connected how much it helps others and what a big impact it makes in their lives, for the better.
Saturday we go to Disney, which I am excited for since I have never been.
