After an early wakeup and sleepy flight down to Orlando, Group B and Professor Cadwalader were greeted by the faculty and rates. Upon arrival, the cadets were corralled into the vans for the ride to the Domestic Global Village.
Offloading led into a tour given by Dr. Valla and a Habitat safety video. After lunch, the cadets enjoyed some free time and a trip to Walmart to pick up some forgotten necessities. The group dined on the award winning barbecue from Dan at the Barnwood Bar-B-Que.
Dr. Valla then enlightened the cadets on our purpose for volunteering here in Central Florida. The cadets look forward to watching the Super Bowl and enjoying some free time before a much needed night’s rest.
Tomorrow, we will venture to Port Canaveral and the Kennedy Space Center to explore a vital piece of our Nation’s infrastructure and an important part of our history.
